Vibe Arts – Performing Arts Day Opportunity

Northern Health and Social Care Trust

Vibe Arts is a long-term performing arts day opportunity for adults with learning disabilities, commissioned by the Northern Health and Social Care Trust. CMAC is the delivery partner for the programme, working in partnership with MayWe Events, who oversee contract management. The programme operates across Antrim, Coleraine and Moneymore, providing a supportive and inclusive space where service users can explore creativity, performance and self-expression in a way that feels accessible and empowering.

With creative direction from Ciara McGeown, and facilitation and support from the wider CMAC team, the programme combines the creative arts in a relaxed, workshop-style format. Each session is structured to build confidence, encourage communication and allow service users to engage at their own pace.

Each Vibe Arts group works towards two public performances per year within their locality, giving individuals meaningful opportunities to share their work, celebrate progress and experience the sense of achievement that comes with live performance. These performances are approached in a supportive and celebratory way, reflecting the strengths and interests of each group.

This programme places wellbeing, inclusion and connection at its core. As a long-term initiative, the CMAC team continually evolves its offering in response to the needs, interests and strengths of service users. CMAC is proud to deliver this work, supporting service users to explore creativity, grow in confidence, and experience the connection and sense of belonging that the creative arts can offer.
